Striving to Be the Best Care Home in Southampton

Being responsible for the wellbeing of an older person can cause a lot of pressure, especially when it’s an older parent that needs to be looked after. Taking care of an elderly person takes a lot of time that not everyone can spend due to other life commitments like work or raising your own children. It becomes even harder to look after the person if they has a low level of mobility.

In a situation like this, the right care home could be a big help to ease stress and make sure that your loved one gets enough and the necessary care they need.

Our modern Southampton care home has been providing quality care and accommodating the elderly for over 25 years. Many years of experience lets us provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for the residents, supporting privacy, happiness, and security, and meeting their needs. If an elderly resident has a health condition that requires special care or a disability that means their care requirements are more complex, we will ensure that we can cater to their needs. So families that leave their loved ones in our care can have peace of mind they are being cared for professionally and compassionately.

The residents at our care home have a full range of activities all year round to keep them entertained, happy and physically active. We provide a wide range of activities that each individual could choose whether they would like to participate in. Our staff love spending time with the residents and treat them like their own family; we’ve even been known to host a dance party or two!

We also pay special attention to the food that our residents are served. Meals are taken in the spacious dining room that overlooks the front of the property and its beautiful gardens. Mealtimes are unhurried and relaxed so it is a pleasant time for all our residents to enjoy the food and each other’s company. All meals are freshly cooked and a nutritious and varied menu is offered so residents can choose what they would like. We provide all our residents with three full nutritious meals a day. We aim to provide special candlelit dinners with soft background music for residents every six weeks as an alternative to dining out. And we’ve recently maintained our level 5 food hygiene rating from EHO!

We can see that our residents are happy, relaxed and positive, and we can hear a lot of laughter too! We will continue to make sure that this is our priority and always strive to be the best care home in Southampton, because we care!
