Welcome to the monthly newsletter for Avon Park Residential Home.

May Roundup

The Easter month of April was full of excitement, started off celebrating the 97th birthday of our wonderful resident Joan and the 98th birthday for our amazing resident Cecil!


Residents got themselves into the Easter spirit making their very own chocolate cornflake cakes topped with mini eggs!


The introduction of our new exercise activity with G-FITNESS has been a great success! It is great to see residents engaging and fully involving themselves in this new activity!

What’s On This Month!

Avon Park Care Home is packed with activities this month, here are some key dates to remember:


2nd May – Royal Arts & Crafts

3rd May – Midweek Movie Night

4th May – Afternoon High Tea

5th May – Royal Bingo

10th May – Midweek Movie Night

16th May – Board Games

24th May – Midweek Movie Night

29th May – Biscuit Making

Coronation Party

To celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III on 6th May, residents will be treated to a delicious luncheon, accompanied with decorations and much more as well as watching the Coronation ceremony live!


Royal Bingo

On 5th May residents will take part in our weekly Bingo with a Royal theme in line with the King’s Coronation!


Introducing G-Fitness

Last month we announced a new activity taking place every Wednesday at 11am! The amazing Curtis from G-FITNESS has hit the ground running with fun and engaging exercises to help improve our residents’ mobility!


Royal Arts & Crafts

On 2nd May residents will showcase their creative skills making decorations for the King’s Coronation!


Midweek Movie Night

Our movie nights continue on 3rd, 10th, 24th May where residents can sit back, relax and watch a movie of their choosing!


Homemade Biscuit Making

To celebrate National Biscuit Day on 29th May resident s will show their baking talents making some wonderful homemade biscuit s with their own designs and toppings.


Afternoon High Tea

On 4th May residents will be treated to a wonderful Royal themed Afternoon High Tea in the dining area!
