Welcome to the monthly newsletter for Avon Park Residential Home.
The recent wet weather did not dampen our residents’ spirits as they continued to participate in a variety of engaging activities! We celebrated St Patrick’s Day, Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day, where residents got to open up about influential women they have met in their life!
The introduction of midweek movie nights in the Webber Lounge has been a great success with residents enjoying the different movies shown on screen via our projector! To end the month residents had a visit from GFITNESS who promote health and wellbeing through fun movement and exercise sessions!

Movie Night
On 6th April residents will kickstart the Easter period in style with a scrumptious Afternoon High Tea in the Dining Room accompanied with joyful music.
On 9th April to celebrate Easter residents will have a themed lunch in the dining room which will be full of decorations and chocolate treats!
On 19th April residents will have a variety of Easter themed wordsearch’s and crosswords to get stuck into and enjoy!
On 25th April to celebrate St George’s Day, residents will have a themed lunch in the main dining room which will be full of decorations!
On 27th April residents can sit back, relax and watch a movie of their choosing in the Webber Lounge alongside an array of treats and drinks!
On 20th April residents will have a variety of St George’s Day themed wordsearch’s and crosswords to complete!
On 13th April residents will get competitive as they take part in scrabble games amongst their peers!
