Welcome to the monthly newsletter for Avon Park Residential Home.

February Roundup

Last month we welcomed back the amazing Doorstep Entertainment who performed a variety of singing and comedy sketches which residents thoroughly enjoyed!


Residents also participated in Valentines Card Making, poem writing as well as interactive board games and movie night in the Webber Lounge which always goes down well. We also had a local singing group visit to perform a wonderful medley of songs.

Avon Park Care Home is packed with activities this month, here are some key dates to remember:


8th March – Who inspires you?

14th March – St Patrick’s Day Arts & Crafts

16th March – Flower Arranging

17th March – St Patrick’s Day Lunch

21st March – Word Games

23rd March – Poetry Club

28th March – Easter Cake Making

29th March – Chair Yoga

30th March– Movie Night

INERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

To celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March residents will be naming a famous or non-famous female who has inspired them, providing reasons for choosing that individual and writing down any interesting facts about them!


Easter Cake Making

On 28th March residents will start getting into the Easter spirit and show their creative talents by making some delicious chocolate cakes! 


International Happiness Day

On 21st March residents will have the opportunity to complete a wordsearch or crossword to celebrate International Happiness Day! 


World Poetry Day

On 23rd March residents will have an opportunity to show off their creative writing skills developing their own poem to celebrate World Poetry Day.


Movie Night

On 30th March residents can sit back, relax and watch a movie of their choosing in the Webber Lounge alongside an array of treats and drinks!


St Patrick’s Day 

On 14th March resident will start preparing for St Patrick’s Day getting decorations ready for our St Patrick’s Day themed lunch taking place on 17th March. Residents will be treated to a wonderful meal with Irish music playing in the background! 


Mother’s Day

On 16th March resident will create some wonderful flower creations to celebrate Mother’s Day and all flowers will be put on display!
