Welcome to the monthly newsletter for Avon Park Residential Home.
The month of September saw Avon Park residents engage in many activities such as flower arranging and Royal Family quiz.
With the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II, residents gather in the main lounge on Monday, 19th September to watch the funeral service. A toast was made by residents during brunch to commemorate Her Majesty's reign.
Staff and residents received the latest COVID-19 booster jab and residents also received their Flu jabs the colder season ahead.
It's officially the spooky season at Avon Park Care Home and we've got plenty of activities planned during October to celebrate.
6th of October - Halloween Paper Plate Crafts
13th October - Pumpkin Bunting Decorating
20th October - Mummy Jar Crafts
27th October - Halloween Paint by Numbers
We will be holding our annual Halloween High Tea on Monday 31st October, starting at 4:30pm in the Main Lounge. Residents will enjoy a fun filled afternoon of spooky themed games and music. These special events will run alongside our weekly activities like Tuesday arts & crafts, Wednesday quiz nights and Friday Bingo!
We welcome two new members of staff to Avon Park this month.
A warm welcome to Emma who join us as a care assistant with a wealth of experience in elderly care and we also welcome Rachel who joins our night team and comes with great knowledge and experience.
